Black Bear NIL Collective Boosts Roster with Signing of Five Key Offensive Players
ORONO, ME — December 8, 2025 — The Black Bear NIL Collective is excited to announce the signing of five pivotal members of the University of Maine football team to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements. This latest wave of signings highlights a heavy investment in the “engine room” of the Black Bear offense, securing partnerships with three offensive linemen and two dynamic skill-position players.
This group represents a diverse mix of homegrown Maine talent and key recruits from across the Northeast and Midwest, all of whom have become integral to the program’s culture.
Meet the Newest Members of the Collective:
- Caden Drezek (QB, R-So. — Seymour, CT): A talented signal-caller from Connecticut, Drezek continues to develop as a leader in the quarterback room.
- Nick Laughlin (RB, R-So. — Cape Elizabeth, ME): A local standout and versatile threat out of the backfield, Laughlin embodies the “Maine Made” spirit the collective strives to support.
- Anthony Iliano (OL, R-So. — Cleveland, OH): A foundational piece of the future offensive line, Iliano brings a physical presence from the football-rich region of Northeast Ohio.
- Andrew Kocan (OL, Jr. — Pittsburgh, PA): Entering his veteran years, Kocan provides the experience and consistency necessary to compete at the highest level of the CAA.
- Tyler Williams (OL, Sr. — Brooklyn, NY): A cornerstone of the locker room, Williams enters his senior year with remaining eligibility, providing vital veteran leadership for the younger linemen.
Strengthening the Foundation
With three of the five signees being offensive linemen, this announcement underscores the Black Bear NIL Collective’s commitment to supporting the “unsung heroes” who protect the pocket and create lanes for the offense.
“We are thrilled to welcome these five young men to the collective,” said Jackson Leonard, a spokesperson for the Black Bear NIL Collective. “From local stars like Nick Laughlin to veteran leaders like Tyler Williams and Andrew Kocan, these athletes represent the heart of UMaine football.
