Black Bear NIL Collective Announces Landmark Partnership with Maine-Grown Standouts Noah Carpenter and Jace Negley
ORONO, ME — November 25, 2025 — The Black Bear NIL Collective is proud to announce the official signing of University of Maine football players Noah Carpenter and Jace Negley to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements.
This dual signing marks a significant moment for the collective, as both athletes are not only rising stars on the UMaine roster but also products of the same hometown: Greene, Maine. By partnering with these local standouts, the Black Bear NIL Collective continues its mission to empower student-athletes while strengthening the bond between the University and the Maine community.
Staying Rooted in Maine
Both Carpenter and Negley are currently Redshirt Freshmen, representing the next generation of leadership for the Black Bear defense and offense, respectively.
- Noah Carpenter (LB): A versatile and instinctive linebacker, Carpenter brings a high-energy defensive presence to the field.
- Jace Negley (OL): A powerhouse on the offensive line, Negley provides the size and technical skill essential to the Black Bears’ front five.
“Having two high-caliber athletes from the same Maine town playing together at the Division I level is a rare and special story,” said Jackson Leonard, a representative for the Black Bear NIL Collective. “Noah and Jace embody the grit and work ethic that Maine football is known for. We are thrilled to support them as they build their brands and continue their journey in Orono.”
